Emily Graham’s accomplishments center around aligning business competencies with strategic goals and exceeding customer expectations in a dynamic industry. At Holman, she leads innovative energy and connectivity strategies across North America and chairs Holman's Women's Business Resource Group focused on enabling female development. She holds a master's in Organizational Development and Leadership from Saint Joseph's University, a bachelor's in Psychology from Ramapo College, and an ASQ Lean for Service certification. Her passion for leadership is also evident in her role as a Senior Adjunct Professor at Rowan College at Burlington County.
Cole has an extensive background in mobility, working for OEMs like Jaguar Land Rover and Ferrari, before joining EVBox to develop L2/L3 EVSE solutions. Recently, Cole ran business development for Sparkion, a Vontier Company, growing EVSE focused energy storage and power solutions. Today, Cole runs OEM relationships for ev.energy, scaling EV drivers into the largest VPP in the US. Cole holds a BSBA from American University and an MBA from the University of Monaco.
Russell Vare is Vice President of Vehicle Grid Integration at The Mobility House, where he leads new business opportunities for smart charging and grid services. He has worked in the EV industry for 20 years including roles at Nissan and Mercedes-Benz where he led early pilots on vehicle to grid and battery second-life storage. He has a BA in Economics from UC Santa Barbara and a Master’s in Public Policy from UCLA.
John brings a unique financial and capital investment vision to his role as Holman’s Vice President & Managing Director, Growth Ventures. Prior to joining the organization in 2019, John spent nearly 20 years investing in deals from debt to private equity, from startups to distressed companies. John has served in senior management roles with industry leaders such as Cerberus Capital Management, PNC Bank, and LBC Credit Partners while overseeing a number of investment portfolios in excess of $1 billion.
Slawek is co-CEO at VUMO AI, a startup using robots and AI for car photography and inspection. The 50-engineer team in Cracow, Poland, creates advanced tech to scan cars for undercarriage and tire issues, scratches, dents, damages, and repainted surfaces. They also make money from image processing and robots for dealerships and auctions.
Kevin Malik is the CEO for RunBuggy and is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the company. Prior to RunBuggy, Kevin served in several C-suite roles for leading technology companies including Starwood Hotels (acquired by Marriott) and IO, which was acquired by Iron Mountain for $1.3Billion. He is an investor in and serves on the board of advisors for several cloud technology, financial services, hospitality, and managed services firms that have undergone significant acquisitions.
Stephen Chaves is an autonomy software engineer at Zipline, a startup with a mission to build the world’s first logistics system that serves all people equally. Prior to joining Zipline, Stephen led the autonomous driving teams across prediction, planning, and control at Qualcomm. He graduated with a PhD from the University of Michigan.
Ed has over 20 years of experience in brand and business building. Delivering successful platforms for blue-chip consumer brands including BMW, Nike, Goldman Sachs, Amex, Infiniti, and more. Formerly CEO of advertising agency kbs+ New York, Ed was one of 27 people in media and tech named to Adweek’s “Young Influentials” list of individuals remaking business and culture. He was also one of Ad Age’s 40 Under 40 and was recognized as an Agency Innovator by Internationalist Magazine in 2013. Prior to kbs+, he was Co-Founder and COO of SPLIT, a creative technology organization at IPG.
Atul Patel, Orbee's CEO and Co-Founder, has 20 years of marketing technology expertise. He holds patents in marketing data compliance, which became the core technology for Jornaya. Atul also founded Optimal.com, acquired by Sovrn; OptimalSocial, acquired by Brand Networks; and OneScreen. Additionally, he co-founded LeadROI, advised AdGear, and built a video business for NTENT.
Matt Carpenter has led Dealerware as CEO since 2019, an Austin based company focused on fleet management solutions. Dealerware has been built under the Silvercar corporate structure and powers fleet, rental, and mobility programs at over 2,000 franchise retailers in the U.S. & Canada across. Prior to 2019, Carpenter held various OEM leadership positions including CFO U.S. & Canada at Audi, General Manager Dealer Remarketing at VW Credit, and General Manager U.S. Vehicle Sales at Audi. Matt started his career at Ford Motor Company as a Zone Manager in 2003.
Pearl is presently GVP and Chief Corporate Development Officer of JM Family Enterprise, Inc., a privately held company founded in 1968 by automotive legend Jim Moran. JM Family is an active investor with ~$7bn in total assets invested globally across public and private markets.
Pearl earned a JD/MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2003, and a BA with a double major in mathematics and sociology at Northwestern University in 1996.
Chase Fraser is an experienced entrepreneur, venture capital fund manager, and board member with extensive knowledge of the transportation industry and the technologies shaping its future. Chase is the founding partner at FM Capital, a sector-focused venture fund with an AUM of over $300M. Chase’s primary responsibilities are investment deal-structure, fundraising, and general fund leadership and direction. Chase has been involved in over fifty direct investments and has served on more than twenty boards.
Chase graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, is married with two children, and currently resides in Boulder, Colorado.
Brodie founded The Presidio Group in 1998. The firm included private equity, investment banking, and wealth advisory businesses with offices in San Francisco, Dallas, and Washington, D.C. In 2016, Presidio was reorganized and the private equity business was spun out. Mr. Cobb remained a shareholder and sat on the Board of Directors until Tiedemann’s successful IPO and rebranding as Alvarium Tiedemann in January 2023 (ticker: ALTi).
The Presidio Group retained its merchant banking division and provides investment banking advisory services to and principal investments in auto tech companies and dealerships. The principals at Presidio have closed more than 200 transactions totaling approximately $15 billion in value. Presidio is a national FINRA-registered broker-dealer.
Prior to Presidio, Brodie was with Montgomery Securities, First Boston Corporation, and Security Pacific Bank.
Terence leads CarMax's corporate development, corporate venture capital, and strategic partnership functions. His team led CarMax's acquisition of Edmunds as well as CarMax's investments in leading startups including UVeye, Cresta, Treehouse, Recurrent, and RepairPal, where Terence serves on the board of directors. Terence joined CarMax in 2010. Prior to joining CarMax, Terence practiced corporate and securities litigation at Hunton & Williams.
Chris is a co-founder and partner at Assembly Ventures. Detroit, Berlin and Silicon Valley. Announced investments include Apptronik, CesiumAstro, Metropolis, NAVIT, ONE and Sortera,
Prior to Assembly Chris co-founded the Detroit Mobility Lab and Fontinalis Partners; served in the U.S. Army in the U.S. and Iraq; and worked at UBS in its Technology and Energy groups in San Francisco and New York.
Chris has degrees from Michigan State University and the Yale School of Management.
Bill champions an innovative team focused on leveraging Holman’s core competencies while embracing disruptive technologies and investments currently shaping the future of the automotive industry. Bill has been with the company since 1984 during which time he has served in a variety of sales and leadership roles across the organization’s fleet and retail automotive divisions. Prior to transitioning to his current role, Bill most recently served as the President of Retail operations, spearheading the acquisition of the Kuni family of dealerships in 2016.
Bill received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Messiah College and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
Petter brings a unique and sophisticated perspective to Holman Enterprises through a wealth of experience in both the global automotive industry and retail automotive sector. Petter joined the organization in 2017 as VP of Holman’s northeast automotive platform and also served as SVP of Aftersales and SVP, Corporate Business Development & Industry Relations before being appointed to his current role in 2024. Prior to joining Holman, Petter spent 18 years at BMW where he last served as Executive Vice President of Operations and Board Member for BMW of North America. Petter also held a few international roles with BMW including CEO of BMW Sweden and Sales Director for Africa, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe – totaling 47 countries.
Matt Nuffort is a Director for the new vehicle sales initiative at Amazon and was instrumental in getting it off the ground. Matt previously led the multi-billion-dollar Automotive Retail business for Amazon in Europe, launching several vehicle sales pilots on Amazon, including Amazon Motors leasing in Spain and vehicle sales with Fiat in Italy. Prior to Automotive, Matt led the product team for the launch and geographic expansion of Amazon’s Treasure Truck. Outside of Amazon, Matt started and sold two companies that developed products in the imaging space. Matt is an aerospace engineer by education and spent five years active duty in the USAF, including one year in Afghanistan as the executive office for the Office of Military Cooperation - Afghanistan.
Thomas F. “Mack” McLarty, III is Chairman of McLarty Associates, an international strategic advisory firm; Chairman of the McLarty Companies, a fourth-generation family automotive business; and, together with Robert L. Johnson, co-founder of RML, the country's largest minority-owned dealer group. Previously, he served as President Bill Clinton’s White House Chief of Staff, Counselor, and Special Envoy for the Americas; as CEO of Arkla, Inc., a Fortune 500 natural gas company; and was appointed by President George H.W. Bush to the National Petroleum Council, the National Council on Environmental Quality, and the St. Louis Federal Reserve Board.
Don Flow is Chairman and CEO of Flow Automotive Companies, operating in Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Fayetteville, Charlottesville, Raleigh, Statesville, Burlington, Durham, Asheville and Wilmington with fifty-three franchises. Don is Chair of the Winston-Salem Open, serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Winston-Salem Alliance, Inc., is a member of the Executive Committee of Piedmont Triad Partnership and is a member of the Golden Leaf Foundation. He is on the boards of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and the Millennium Fund of Winston-Salem. Don has served on a number of boards and committees for Wake Forest University School of Business, currently serving as Chair of the WFUBMC Board of Directors and as a member of the WFUHS Board of Directors and its Executive Committee.
Don is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he was a varsity athlete and has a diploma in Christian Studies from Regent College in Vancouver. He earned his MBA at Wake Forest.
Jeff is co-founder and CEO of Apptronik. He is a serial entrepreneur on a mission to bring the groundbreaking advancements in humanoid robotics into the real world. Under Jeff’s leadership, Apptronik has built some of the most advanced robots in the world, spanning from exoskeletons to humanoid torsos, biped mobility platforms, and unique robotic arms. He believes that it is not man vs. machine, but man AND machine that will take humanity into the next stage of evolution.
As CEO of SVT Robotics, A.K. Schultz leads the overall company vision and go-to-market strategies. A.K. has spent his career leading the design and implementation of high-profile automation projects across multiple industries and top Fortune 500 companies, participating in the deployment of over $1 billion in automation. That experience gave him a unique understanding of the technical solutions customers need to advance their business, and it provided the foundation to launch SVT Robotics in 2018.
A.K. grew up in Virginia and received an engineering degree from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He is also a former US Army officer. Upon returning to Virginia, A.K. continued his education with an MBA from William and Mary University.
Juan, founder and CEO of Reshape Automation, is on a mission to democratize robotics in manufacturing. His career bridges Industrial Automation, Robotics, and AI, with work featured in major media outlets. Previously, he was VP of Product at Rapid Robotics and Ready Robotics, and led Advanced Manufacturing Automation at Siemens. Juan advises ARM, A3’s AI Tech Strategy Board, and Skydeck. He's received the MIT Tech Review Innovator under 35 Europe, Siemens Inventor of the Year, and Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award.
Gavin Kenneally, PhD, is the Co-Founder and CEO of Philadelphia-based Ghost Robotics. Dr. Keneally leads a team of highly skilled engineers and researchers dedicated to advancing robotics systems. Ghost Robotics is renowned for pushing the boundaries of robotics technology, particularly in legged robots.
As a leader at Holman for the last 10 years, Joe has led and partnered with multiple areas of Holman's commercial businesses to increase sales, align competencies, and innovate products and enter new markets for Holman's future success. In his newest role, Joe will oversee the commercialization of Holman's Robotics business.
James is a multi-disciplinary engineer focused on the software side of robotics. Prior to Formant, he helped build a class-leading search and AI company and saw it through acquisition by IBM Watson. James founded a teleoperation company in 2018 which was acquired by Formant, where he has since led strategy and platform architecture.
Derek Simonds is the Executive Vice President of Numa’s rapidly expanding automotive division. With over 35 years of leadership in the auto industry, Simonds oversees a wide array of critical functions including operations, partnerships, OEM relationships, customer success, and go-to-market strategy. With decades of direct management experience at dealerships, Derek has a rare 360º perspective on the industry's evolution, from its historical roots to its current landscape, positioning him uniquely to anticipate its future trajectory.
Marcus Allen is an accomplished CEO with over 2 decades of outstanding leadership. He became the first Black Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence (BBBSI), in its celebrated 100-year history.
Marcus is a visionary leader, spending much of his time and effort defining how BBBSI can have an even greater impact on the over 200,000 children facing adversity in the Greater Philadelphia region.
Marcus was appointed to the PA State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. In this role, he is responsible for advising the Commission regarding civil rights and discrimination matters in the Commonwealth of PA. Marcus currently serves on the board of directors for United Way with an annual budget of over $60 million, and Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), which is a non-profit that serves ~350,000 clients annually. PHMC has 70 locations (including hospitals) and provides more than 350 programs with a budget of over $800 million.
Marcus is a graduate of Temple University and received his MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. He began his college career at Paine College on a General Motors Engineering Scholarship while playing basketball. He is a two-time inductee into the Paine College Sports Hall of Fame (2000, 2014) and played basketball professionally in Sweden, Israel, Finland, and Argentina before moving to Philadelphia.
Matthias Stoever is the Co-Founder and CEO of RockED - a mobile learning platform for the automotive industry. Matthias has a passion for building great software products for B2B applications. Prior to RockED Matthias was a VP of Mobility Products at Sixt Rent-a-Car and had the opportunity to build a software development center for Sixt in Bangalore, India. Matthias and his family live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Mark is a managing partner of FM Capital, responsible for fund leadership, investment strategy and portfolio management.
Previously Mark was president of Zipcar and his team managed the company’s IPO on the NASDAQ and subsequent sale to Avis Budget Group. Mark has significant leadership experience, including roles as CEO of Flexcar, CEO and Chairman of Chrysler Canada, and Managing Director of Summit Systems. Mark was also a top operating executive for The Herb Chambers Companies, the 6th largest privately held automotive dealership group in North America.
Mark has served on the boards of two dozen companies as an investor or independent director. He holds a BA from Rice University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
